John G. Jensen

A sculpture and ceramics professor at Armstrong State University in Savannah, John G. Jensen was born in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. He has won many awards throughout his career, including a fellowship for sculpture by the National Endowment for the Arts, and he was named the Georgia Art Education Association's Youth Art Month Artist. He was also selected and featured as one of "Five Outstanding Artists to Collect" from the city of Savannah.
Jensen's mixed-media work Two Swimming Heads: As Seen at the Beach—Tybee Island (1988) is part of Georgia's State Art Collection.
